SecuriCert - Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)

What is SecuriCert ?

NTS Consulting Pte. Ltd. introduces SecuriCert, a comprehensive public-key infrastructure (PKI), to the Windows platform. This infrastructure is a replacement to the Windows-based public-key (PK) cryptographic services that were introduced over the past few years, providing a more secure and cheaper integrated set of services and administrative tools for creating, deploying, and managing Public Key based applications. This allows application developers to take advantage of the shared-secret security mechanisms or Public Key based security mechanism, as appropriate. Enterprises also gain the advantage of this system without investing in expensive Public Key Infrastructure.

Features

SecuriCert PKI provides four main services :

  • Authentication. Verification of the identity of a user or resource trying to gain access.

  • Integrity. Protection against unauthorized modification or substitution of information.

  • Confidentiality. Protection against outside access.

  • Non-Repudiation. Prohibits an individual from denying that he/she signed a document or sent a message to a contract or a communication link. If needed, it can provide proof that they furnished the signature and electronically signed a message or document.

No private keys are stored on this system at all except the Domain Controller’s private key which is protected.

  • Client Machine - The user’s machine which has support to cryptographic devices such as smart cards or smart token.
